African Cattle

We supply two breeds of cattle from the Horn of Africa:  Ethiopian Boran cattle (which have a pronounced hump) and the Somali cattle (which have a smaller hump).  The Somali cattle, also known commonly as Arab, Bahari, or Berbera cattle are part of the Small East African Zebu breed (bos indicus) and form the sub-group, Somali or Abyssinian Short-horned Zebu cattle.  These cattle have short horns with coats that typically vary in colour from fawn to reddish brown.

The cattle we supply are of 300-350 kg weight and are 3-4 years old, un-castrated male animals.
